Welcome to IWD
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of women’s achievements, contributions, and impact across every part of life — social, economic, cultural, and political. It’s also a call to action for equality, inspiring communities to support, uplift, and empower women everywhere.
Here in Shropshire, we’re proud to bring this worldwide movement to our county with a two-day celebration of local women. This event is for everyone — men, women, families, and young people — because everyone has a role to play in recognising achievements and supporting progress.
